Babysitting and Starch

Testing is underway for the starch battery! We pretty much genetically modified a potato to consist of nothing but starch and I think it's going to power what we want to it. I'll have to try the batches with different amped objects and then see how long each one takes, and the experimentation process for that is going to take a while, but we're moving forward!

The word bank for the cat translator is slow moving progress though :( Apparently, our test cats are pretty reticent, which sucks. But whatever, I'm resigned to me not being able to finish this by the end of the year...it doesn't look too bright for the translator future.

Another thing that isn't bright for my future is that nii-san wants to foist his kid off on me for their anniversary in a week's time...it cries a lot. And won't sit still. I can barely deal with it for ten minutes, let alone a whole night. I don't know what I'm going to do >>;

No problem. If he's over a year, he'll sleep through the night pretty well, though through the night for him may be around five or six hours. It's hard to say on that one. But the kids can wear him out playing with him, and that'll help him sleep longer. Need a crash course on diaper changing, or have you got that bit down?

And nappy changing is totally sorted >>; Nii-chan taught me how when the kid was born. Said if he had to suffer, so did I.

Kenya-san, Jirou's nephew is older than Tia-chan, so he'll sleep more. They do eventually start sleeping for stretches of hours at a time, I promise.

There is a small ray of hope. And then the terrible twos. And if you even whisper a cuss word in her vicinity, she'll repeat it in public as loud as possible at the worst time. At least, that's what Arashi did to me.
